Nice.

Sergey, well done!
And look at that difference in time between first and second spot.
Looks like flappers are here to stay.
Thanks again for the fast results, almost like being there, almost......

You should have seen him trim and test the model at Holiday on Ice: tight circle, accelerate, but not quite the right position, so slow down, relatch. And do it again, and again, and again. After 10+ interrupted starts he eventually flew one, and phew-was that high! The models with Eggleston airfoil seem to get higher, but they then loose on glide.

A remarkable title, and well-deserved!

Congrat's to Sergey with his Flapper wings !!!

Now, Eggeleston wings users have to show to everybody that these kinds of wings are really better than flappers !!!

I believe in Eggleston and the next World champion will be with Eggeleston wings !!!! :D

See you in Poitou contest !

Julien.

Well done for the provision of great videos, pictures and results so far, the level of coverage has been breath-taking. Looking forward to F1B/ F1C contests.

Congratulations to all - both competitors as well as organizers!

Anyway it's interesting to compare competitions on FAI calendar regarding results publishing. There are biiiiiiig differences - hand written and only at the end of the competition on one side on many events and (almost) realtime web published on some events in World Cup (Siscia, V. Kmoch, Mura Cup....) and some WC/EC's on the other side.

Again - congrat's to Croatian modellers for outstanding efforts! Those who compete themselves know competitor's needs.

A comment on team scores published as PDF files. (Did not want to start a new thread!)

The team rankings you published on the WCH2009 web site after the seventh round for F1A (yesterday) and F1B (today) as PDF files are incomplete. For example, in F1A, Israel and Russia are listed as sharing the first team place.

In case of such ties (after the regular rounds), you have to factor in the flyoff individual rankings and the team with the lowest sum is ranked higher. In this case, after the flyoffs, the Russians were ranked 1st (Makarov), 3rd (Titov) and 17th (Kozyrev) summing to 21. The Israelis were ranked 2nd (Kraus), 10th (Bacher) and 12th (Fruman) summing to 24. Very close, but according to this rule, the Russians are ranked first, the Israelis second.
Having said this, the timely reporting is outstanding!
